On Saturday, November 1, the men's and women's cross country teams competed at the AMCC Championships at Fort Roberdeau in Altoona, PA. A year after the men's and women's teams both claimed the first-place prize out of ten teams at the 2007 event, the Behrend men followed up with another championship title, while the women placed third overall.

Penn State Behrend's Jenna Fatica (Erie/Villa Maria) has been named as the AMCC cross country runner of the week for October 6, 2008. Last weeks ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR athlete of the week took the AMCC runner of the week honors as she completed the 6K course in a personal best time of 24:39 at the Bobcat Invitational.

What are your thoughts on your team at this point in your season? For the women's team, I feel this is one of the strongest teams overall we've had in the past few years. For the men, it's been hard to deal with injuries and sickness from key returners. regionally and nationally ranked competition.
