Carr Wins Individual AMCC Cross Country Championship; Leads Team to AMCC Invite Win

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Senior Savanna Carr (Franklin, PA/Franklin Area) won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) individual championship on Sunday morning, leading the Lions to a win of the AMCC Invitational.

Key Moments:
* The Lions competed in the AMCC Invitational Sunday. The invitational was in lieu of a championship because of low participation of teams in the conference. The conference still awarded individual finishers and an All-Conference team
* Carr ran a 24:18.88 to win the individual championship, leading Behrend to a team victory
* Carr has won her third AMCC individual championship, also winning in 2017 and 2019 (did not compete in 2018)
* Behrend had three finishers in the top-5
* Jessie Johnson (Edinboro, PA/General McLane) followed closely behind Carr, taking home bronze with a time of 25:36.64
* Izzy Spires (Wattsburg, PA/Seneca) finished in third place, running 25:39.41
* As a team, the Lions tallied 23 points
* The Top-15 finishers received All-Conference honors
* Every runner from Behrend was named to the All-Conference team
