The Penn State Behrend men's golf team opened the season on Saturday, September 5 with a solid performance at the Pitt-Bradford Invitational.  The squad posted a score of 304 (+16) and went on to capture the title at Pine Acres Country Club.

Senior Joe Nelson (Warren/Warren) led the blue and white with a score of one over par 73 and finished tied for third overall.  The Behrend Lions posted four scores in the 70's, topped by Nelson's 73.  Kevin Koerbel (Gibsonia/Deer Lakes), Anthony Mortillaro (Richboro/Brighton), and Zack Polanski (Erie/Cathedral Prep) all shot five over par 77.

The Behrend Lions golf team will host the annual Behrend Invitational at Peak n' Peek on Thursday, September 24.  Tee off is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
