ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend women's basketball freshman forward Katie Chess (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) has been named to the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Team.

Chess earned a spot on the third team for the Lions (11-16). The newcomer led the team with 11.8 points per game and ranks seventh in the AMCC in field-goal percentage (47.2) and rebounds per game (8.0). Chess also is fourth in total rebounds in the conference with 216.

She was the leading rebounder in 14 games this season and leading scorer in 13, while posting five double-doubles. Chess pulled down a career-high 15 rebounds twice and scored a season-best 18 points on four occasions.
