ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's soccer team welcomes Houghton to the soccer complex on Tuesday, Sep. 12 for a 7:00 p.m. matchup with the Highlanders.

* The Lions were 1-1 this past weekend in Rochester, N.Y. when they took on Nazareth and RIT
* Behrend earned its first victory of the season, 2-1, over Nazareth on Friday
* Trinity Prestash (Philipsburg, PA/West Branch) tied the score at one apiece with her first goal of the season in the 51st minute of Friday's contest
* In the 67th minute, sophomore Lizzie Hoff (Moon, PA/Moon Area) netted the game-winner for Behrend
* Sophomore goalkeeper Riley Morningstar (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) was named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Defensive Player of the Week
* Morningstar finished with 10 saves in the two games, recording six saves in the Lions first victory
* Also, Morningstar made a stop on a penalty kick against the Golden Flyers

* Houghton comes in to Tuesday's contest with a record of 1-2-1, falling in its last game at Brockport (6-0)
* The Highlanders grabbed their first victory of the season at Geneva last Wednesday
* Freshman forward Karryne Mims leads the team with four points and two goals, while Natalie Milne and Rileigh Studley have each tallied an assist so far this season
* Milne was named to the 2023 Empire 8 Women's Soccer Players to Watch after earning third team honors last season with her 13 points (six goals/one assist)
* In net, Alliah Fluent has played in all four games and made 25 saves for a .735 save percentage
* Last season, Houghton recorded a 6-7-4 overall record and were 3-4-2 in conference play
