Penn State Behrend entered the Junker Center pool with a 3-1 record in exhibition play. 

The blue and white played a tough first quarter and found themselves competing.  Behrend allowed six goals in the second quarter to allow Mercyhurst to take control of the game.  The Behrend Lions ended the game with a 13-4 loss. 

Matt Pluta (Erie/Cathedral Prep) led the blue and white with three goals.  Kevin Wolak (LaGrange Park, IL/Riverside-Brookefield) added another goal for the Behrend Lions.

The Behrend Lions will travel to Washington and Jefferson in CWPA action on September 18, 2008.  The blue and white will be back at the Junker Center on September 27,2008 when they take on Mercyhurst at 4:00 p.m. and then Salem International at 8:00 p.m.
