ERIE, Pa. – Dan Simon (Harrison City, PA/Penn Trafford) has been named the Division III ECAC South Region Swimmer of the Week.
The senior was also named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Swimmer of the Week for breaking the school record in the 200 backstroke. He won the event in a record-breaking time of 1:55.64. Simon won a second event, touching first in the 50 free (21.76).
Simon will compete this weekend in the 100 backstroke at the 2014 AT&T Winter National Championships in Greensboro, NC. He is currently holds the ninth-best time in Division III in the 100 backstroke (51.33).
