MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Allegheny Gator Invitational on Friday.
Dylan Bilka (Seven Fields, PA/Seneca Valley) and John Cerminara (Williamsburg, VA/Jamestown) led the way for the men's squad with excellent performances in the field.
Bilka won the pole vault at 5.05m to a set a new school record. The vault also ranked Bilka in the top-3 in NCAA. Cerminara brought home a third place finish in the discus at 47.12m.
On the women's side, Victoria Harwood (Fair Haven, NJ/Rumson-Fair Haven) and Katie Spade (Warren, PA/Warren) each placed in the top-5 in multiple events.
Harwood took third in the pole vault at 3.10m and fifth in the 400m with a time of 59.01. Spade competed in both the 800m and 1500m, finishing with times of 2:17.31 and 4:51.75, respectively. Spade's time in the 800m also set a new school record.
In the long jump, Corinne Conto (Bruin, PA/Karns City) placed fifth at 4.82m. Rounding out the top Behrend performers was Alex Paget-Blanc (Paris, France/Aelene Boucher). Paget-Blanc took third in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:07.01.
The Lions will be back in action on Thursday and Friday at the ECAC Outdoor Championships.
