Women’s Indoor Track & Field Competes At SPIRE Midwest Open

GENEVA, Ohio – The Penn State Behrend women's indoor track & field team was back in action at the SPIRE Midwest Open on Saturday.

Key Moments:

* Ivy Laffan (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) was the top-finisher on the track for Lions Saturday
* Laffan registered a time of 1:02.53 in the 400m for sixth-place
Lindsey Hartle (Pittsburgh, PA/Avonworth) placed sixth in section two of the 3000m, finishing in 28th place overall (11:25.83)
* In the pole vault, Madison Kappeler (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan) earned a fourth-place finish with a height of 10-4
* Freshman Rylee Long (Slippery Rock, PA/Moniteau) placed ninth with a distance of 33-9 in the triple jump

* Behrend will return to SPIRE next weekend for the SPIRE Collegiate Invite #1 on Sunday, Jan. 28. The meet is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
