The Penn State Behrend women's water polo team hosted cross-town visitors and Division II opponent Mercyhust on Tuesday, April 6.  The Lakers would earn the victory in the Junker Center pool by a score of 10-3.

Behrend fell behind early as the Lakers found the back of the net six times in the first two periods, to take a 6-1 lead into the halftime break.  Behrend would win the third period, outscoring the Lakers 2-1 to make the score 7-3 entering the fourth period, but Mercyhurst would ice it with three unanswered goals in the fourth period.  Scoring for Penn State Behrend were Tegan Boland (Roselle, IL/Conant), Stefania Pontillo (Erie/McDowell), and Danielle Wilson (Pittsburgh/Plum).

The Behrend Lions next compete at the CWPA Regional Tournament 2 on April 10 and 11.  The blue and white will begin the tournament with three Saturday matches, beginning with a showdown with Washington & Jefferson at 10:30 a.m. on April 10.
