The Penn State Behrend women's water polo team dropped a game versus Mercyhurst College on Tuesday, April 13.  The blue and white fell by a score of 12-2.

Mercyhurst jumped ahead early, building a 6-1 lead after the first period.  The Lakers added to more goals in the second period to grow their lead to 8-1 at halftime.  Behrend then clamped down its defense, shutting out Mercyhurst in the third quarter and getting a goal of its own to make it 8-2.  The blue and white would run out of steam, however, and give up four goals in the fourth period as Mercyhurst clinched the win. 

The blue and white are back in the Junker Pool this Saturday, April 17 for a 10:00 a.m. game versus Chatham.  The final home game of the season will be a rematch from a game at the CWPA Regional Tournament on April 11 that saw Behrend edge Chatham 9-8 in overtime.
