ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend women's water polo utility Maryn Horn (Houston, TX/Jersey Village) earned Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Player and Rookie of the Week after leading the team to a 3-2 record last week at the CWPA regionals.

The freshman scored nine goals in the Lions three victories including a career high five in a 10-4 win over Monmouth last Saturday. Horn has helped the Behrend squad achieve the longest winning streak in program history and with three more wins the team will set a new program mark for victories in a season.

The Lions have five scheduled games this weekend at the second CWPA Regional hosted by Connecticut College. Behrend will open up the regional tonight at 7 p.m. against Macalester.
