Nola Notches AMCC Runner of the Year; Five Earn All-Conference Honors

ERIE, Pa. – Junior Olivia Nola (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) was named the 2023 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Women's Runner of the Year, while head coach Greg Cooper secured Coach of the Year honors.

Noteworthy:

* This marks Nola's second career AMCC Runner of the Year honors, finishing with a time of 23:10.76
* Savanna Carr (Franklin, PA/Franklin) finished just behind Nola with a time of 23:11.90 to earn AMCC Runner-Up
* Rounding out the top five for Behrend was Lindsey Hartle (Pittsburgh, PA/Avonworth), who garnered All-Conference honors with a fourth place finish this past weekend (24:33.18)
* Joining Nola, Carr, and Hartle on the All-Conference Team was Bethany Litwiler (Reynolds, PA/Reynolds) and Ivy Laffan (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf)
* Litwiler and Laffan registered times of 25:17.50 and 25:53.84 for seventh and eighth place finishes, respectively
* All five women bested their times from last season at conference championships
* Carr has been selected to the All-AMCC Team four times in her collegiate career, while Nola and Hartle are repeats on the list from last year
* Cooper registered his 12th Coach of the Year award for leading the Lions to their fifth straight title and 13th overall championship
* Behrend's top seven runners will compete at NCAA Regionals on Saturday, Nov. 11 in Houghton, N.Y.
