Penn State Behrend Lions Crowned Presidents Cup Champions

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend Athletics was crowned the Presidents Cup Champions presented by the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) after a prosperous 2023-24 season. The Lions earned the honor for the most outstanding overall athletics program in the conference 21 of the 22 years the award has existed.

The Lions earned 124 points out of a possible 134 in the 22 sports sponsored by the AMCC to accumulate a .925 winning percentage.

Behrend captured nine conference championships, three in the fall, three in the winter and three in the spring. The Lions were champions in women's cross country, men's cross country, women's soccer, women's basketball, men's swimming and diving, women's swimming and diving, softball, baseball and men's tennis. Behrend finished runner up in women's tennis and men's basketball.

The men's and women's indoor and outdoor track & field teams competed and won all four United East Championships to earn points toward the overall total in this year's standings.

Penn State Altoona was the runner up with .671 winning percentage (71.75 points out of a possible 107) in part to winning the men's golf and women's volleyball championships. Alfred State, who accumulated a .670 percentage, won the wrestling title for a second straight season.
