ERIE, Pa. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the Penn State Behrend men's basketball team as recipients of the 2022-23 NABC Team Academic Excellence Award along with four players named to the NABC Honors Court for outstanding achievement in the classroom.
The Lions receive the team award for carrying a GPA of 3.0 or higher and had four with a cumulative GPA eclipse 3.2, receiving the individual accolades. Austin Ryan (Moon Township, PA/Moon), RJ Marsh (State College, PA/Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy), Seth Myers (Erie, PA/General McLane) and Tommy DiRienzo (Pittsburgh, PA/Bethel Park) each represent the Behrend Lions as Honors Court selections, helping Behrend to be one of over 300 programs deserving of the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award.
