Men's Soccer Ranked No. 16 in Final Coaches Poll

ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team earned its first-ever spot in the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Final rankings announced on Tuesday. The Lions finished No. 16 in the Top 25 after finishing with a 16-4-2 overall record for the 2018 season.

During the season, the Lions were ranked as high as No. 7 in the first Great Lakes Region poll after capturing the program's ninth Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championship. Behrend made their seventh appearance in the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time in program history.

In the NCAA Tournament, the Lions defeated Lycoming 1-0 and then posted a double-overtime victory against John Carroll, 1-0, before falling to national runner up Calvin by a score of 4-1 in the sectional semifinals.
