Behrend's Jon Bacon Named to ACWPC All-American TeamFebruary 05, 2009The Men's Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) released the 2008 All-American teams. For the fourth time in Behrend school history a member of Coach Joe Tristan men's water polo team was named as an All-American. Sophomore Jon Bacon (Glendale, CA/Crespi Carmelite) was named to the Division III All-American team at the two meter position.

Behrend Water Polo Takes Third at Division III Eastern ChampionshipsOctober 28, 2008The Penn State Behrend men's water polo squad traveled to Johns Hopkins University to participate in the Division III Eastern Championships on October 25 and 26 and snagged a third place finish. The blue and white started out by smacking Connecticut College 21-12 in the first match of the championships.

Penn State Behrend Takes Tough Loss in OvertimeOctober 18, 2008The Penn State Behrend men's water polo ended their short home stand in the Junker Center pool with a thrilling over time game. The blue and white entered the pool determined to come away with a split on the home stand. The Behrend Lions took on CWPA conference foe Washington and Jefferson. Penn State Behrend got on the board first when Jon Bacon (Glendale, CA/Crespi Carmelite) found the back of the cage to put the Behrend Lions up 1-0.

The Behrend Lions entered the evenings match 2-8 on the year. The blue and white came out strong against the Golden Knights. The Behrend Lions found themselves down 7-3 at half.

Penn State Behrend Play Tough in the Junker PoolSeptember 27, 2008Penn State Behrend entered the Junker Center pool on Saturday, September 27th trying to improve on a 1-3 record. The blue and white took on the Mercyhurst Lakers in the first of two games in the Junker Center pool. The Behrend Lions hung tough throughout the match. After the first quarter the Behrend Lions found themselves in a 2-2 tie.

Behrend Opens Season With Loss to MercyhurstSeptember 18, 2008Penn State Behrend entered the Junker Center pool with a 3-1 record in exhibition play. The blue and white played a tough first quarter and found themselves competing. Behrend allowed six goals in the second quarter to allow Mercyhurst to take control of the game. The Behrend Lions ended the game with a 13-4 loss.

2008 Penn State Behrend Men's Water Polo PreviewSeptember 12, 2008Head Coach Joe Tristan is looking forward to the start of the fall season. After luring talented back-to-back recruiting classes to join the Behrend Lions, the program appears poised to make a run in 2008.
