Penn State Behrend Ends Weekend with Loss to Gannon

The Behrend Lions found themselves out matched against the Gannon Golden Knights in the Junker Center pool.  The blue and white fell 17-3 to drop to 0-8 on the year.

Gannon would strike quickly with just nine seconds elapsed.  The blue and white would fight back scoring :33 seconds later when Kim Giles () found the back of the net to tie the game at one.  Gannon would strike again to put them up 2-1 with 6:29 to play in the first half. Behrend's Danielle Palski (Souderton, PA/Souderton) would score her first of two goals to make it a 2-2 game.  The Golden Knights would shut down the Behrend Lion offense from there on and run seven unanswered goals to end the first quarter.

Gannon would go on to score three more goals in the second quarter before Palski would get her second goal of the game with :31 seconds left in the quarter to make it 3-13.  The Behrend Lions could not find the back of the net in the second half of the game. 

The Penn State Behrend women's water polo team will travel to the Carthage Midwest Invitational on April 2 and 3 to play three games in two days.  The blue and white will take on Colorado and Carthage over the two days.
