DeLisio Named AMCC Player of the Year, Four Selected to All-Conference Team

ERIE, Pa. – Four Penn State Behrend Lions men's basketball players were selected to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) All-Conference Team while Nick DeLisio (Aliquippa, PA/Central Valley) earned Player of the Year honors.

DeLisio, a three-time All-AMCC selection, was named Player of the Year and selected to the conference's first team after a magnificent senior season. He averaged 14.2 ppg along with 4.6 assists per game. A dangerous three-point threat, he drained 67 shots from behind the arc throughout the season hitting 43.8 percent of his tries, ranking 21st in the nation. The point guard boasts an AMCC leading 2.0 assist-to-turnover ratio and also snatched 1.3 steals per game.

Joining DeLisio on the First Team is Zane Hackett (Brookville, PA/Brookville). Hackett had a breakout junior campaign, leading the team in scoring at 15.8 ppg. He ranks 24th in the nation shooting 59.2 percent from the floor and is recording 6.6 rpg and blocking 1.4 shots per game. Hackett led the squad with 23 double-digit scoring performances and notched four double-doubles.

Senior Keith Wallace (Erie, PA/Central Tech) was selected to the Second Team after a stellar defensive output all season. Wallace led the AMCC and ranks 13th in the nation with 2.6 steals per game and was a contributor in all facets of the game. He added 9.3 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 3.9 assists per game and held a 1.5 assist-to-turnover ratio.

Wes Davic (Grafton, OH/Midview) garnered third team All-Conference honors in his first season as a starter. The sophomore was a dynamic rebounder, leading the AMCC and ranking ninth nationally with 11.2 per game, including leading all of Division III with 4.5 offensive rpg. Davic averaged a double-double chipping in 10.0 ppg on 49.5 percent shooting from the floor.

The Lions earned the number one seed in the ECAC South Tournament and host the eight-seed Bethany Bison Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Junker Center.
