ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team has been named a 2023 Division III Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

The CSCAA has named 714 teams to its Scholar All-America list for the Spring 2023 semester.  The teams represent 299 Division III. The CSCAA recognizes teams with the Scholar All-America Award for achieving a team grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher. 

The Lions landed on the All-America Team with a 3.21 GPA. The men had two student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA, including Owen Grubbs (Ohioville, PA/Ohioville) and Ronan Murphy (Fredonia, NY/Fredonia).

Behrend also placed nine on the Dean's List and had six swimmers with a GPA of 3.7 or above.
