ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend junior men's cross country runner Zach Wortman (St. Mary's PA/Elk County Catholic) and senior women's cross country runner Jenna Shelton (Cabot, PA/Knoch) were selected Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Players of the Week.

The Lions hosted the Behrend Twilight Invite on Saturday. Shelton took home first place on the women's end with a time of 23:15.0. She won the event which consisted of 119 runners on 13 different teams. Shelton led the women's team to victory, finishing first overall with a team score of 51.

Wortman ran a time of 27:53.6 to finish in second place at the Behrend Twilight Invite. He was the top runner for the Lions leading them to a team victory. Behrend finished the event which consisted of 120 runners and 13 teams with 31 team points.
