AMCC Announces Winter/Spring Sportsmanship Teams

ERIE, Pa. – In conjunction with celebrating day four of NCAA Division III Week, The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) announced the All-Sportsmanship Team for 2019-20 Winter and Spring seasons.

All institution sport teams which compete for an AMCC championship may select one member from their team who displays good sportsmanship throughout the season to be a member of the All-AMCC Sportsmanship Team.  These individuals are selected by vote of their teammates.

Senior Marcello Frollo (Penn Hills, PA/Penn Hills) represents men's volleyball and sophomore Bridgette O'Neil (Pittsburgh, PA/Brashear) was chosen for women's bowling. Alison McClure (Loveland, OH/Milford) and Jake Schmidt (Erie, PA/McDowell) were voted for men's and women's swimming & diving. The men's and women's basketball team selected Derrick Clark (Erie, PA/Central Tech) and Ashley Seamon (West Allegheny, PA/West Allegheny) to represent the Lions, rounding out the winter sports.

For the spring sports, Michael Duckett (Girard, PA/Fairview) represents men's tennis while Kendra Schreck (Emlenton, PA/Cranberry) and Jake Deitz (Erie, PA/McDowell) were voted for the softball and baseball teams, respectively.

The student-athlete selected must consistently demonstrate a high level of ethical conduct, respect and fair play in both practice and competition, whether on the sidelines or as an active competitor.  Such sportsmanship shall be evident toward teammates, coaches, opponents, officials and fans.  He/She must also serve as a positive representative of school spirit when a spectator at other teams' sporting events.
