The Penn State Behrend Lions split with the Mt. Aloysius Mounties in their doubleheader games on a cold Saturday afternoon at the Behrend field. The blue and white were victorious in the first game by a 3-1 margin and were defeated in the second by a 11 to 2 score.

The Penn State Behrend softall team split its games against the visiting Hiram Terriers in a non-conference doubleheader at the Behrend softball field on Thursday, April 15. Behrend won game won 5-4 and Hiram came back for an 8-6 win in game two.

The Penn State Behrend Lions softball team cruised past the Hilbert Hawks in both games of the doubleheader played on Tuesday, April 13. The blue and white defeated Hilbert in game one by a score of 5 to 0 and followed that up with another convincing victory in game two, 4 to 1.

The Penn State Behrend Softball team opened up the 2010 home schedule against the Thiel Tomcats in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday, March 30. The Behrend Lions were victorious in the first game and followed that up with another win in the second of the doubleheader.

What are your general thoughts on how the season started down in Clermont, Florida and where do you feel like your team stands right now? We have a young team right now and still have a lot to learn. However, they did grow as a unit throughout the week.

The Penn State Behrend Lions softball program was recently picked by the coaches of the Allegheny Mountian Collegiate Conference to continue their dominance and win a third consecutive conference crown.

Last season the Behrend Lions softball team won its second consecutive AMCC championship and their third in four years. The blue and white earned the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament for the third time en route to a 33-8 overall mark and an undefeated record of 18-0 in AMCC play.
