CARLISLE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team finished with a combined team score of 403 to place seventh at the Dickinson College Long-Short Meet Saturday afternoon.

* As a team, the Lions placed 14th in the 8k race with a score of 361
* Freshman Lucas Boyd (North East, PA/North East) was the top finisher for the Lions, crossing the finish line in 63rd place with a time of 27:31.6
* Bennett Kerr (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) finished three spots behind Boyd at 66th, registering a time of 27:35.1
* Seven Lions competed in the 8k race

* Behrend recorded a team score of 122 to place ninth in the 4k race
* Junior Kody Klein (North East, PA/Cathedral Prep) earned a 31st place finish to lead the way for Behrend in the 4k race, running a time of 12:47.1
* The next Lions to cross the finish was freshman Nicolin Pierce (Erie, PA/McDowell), who recorded a time of 13:13.7 for a 57th place finish
* Both these times surpassed Michael Smolinski's time of 13:39.1 set in 2012, which was previously the fastest Behrend time on this course
* Five different Behrend runners competed in the short course race
