HOUGHTON, N.Y. – The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team placed 12th out of 25 teams with a team score of 335 at NCAA Division III Regional Championships hosted by Houghton Saturday afternoon.

Key Moments:

* Junior Kody Klein (North East, PA/Cathedral Prep) led the way for the Lions, running a season-best time of 25:28.0 for 26th place
* Klein placed 10 spots higher than his finish at last year's regional race to earn a spot on the All-Region team
* The next top finisher for Behrend was Lucas Boyd (North East, PA/North East)
* Boyd scored a 43rd place finish with a personal-best time of 25:49.3
* Aiden Domencic (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) and Bennett Kerr (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) registered times of 26:55.7 and 27:05.2 for 81st and 85th place, respectively
* Other runners to compete for the Lions were Nicolin Pierce (Erie, PA/McDowell), Christopher Annear (Fredonia, NY/Fredonia), and Aidan Reinsel (North East, PA/North East)
* Pierce crossed the finish line at 104th (27:35.2), while Annear finished right behind him (27:36.9) and was followed by Reinsel at 112th (27:58.4)
* As a team, Behrend finished two spots higher with a 39-point difference from last season's NCAA Regionals
