Men’s Cross Country Travels To Houghton For NCAA Regionals

HOUGHTON, N.Y. – The Penn State Behrend men's cross country will send its top seven runners to compete in the NCAA Division III Niagara Regional Championships hosted by Houghton on Saturday, Nov. 11. The 8k race begins at 11:00 a.m.

* The seven runners competing for the Lions are Kody Klein (North East, PA/Cathedral Prep), Lucas Boyd (North East, PA/North East), Aiden Domencic (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley), Bennett Kerr (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional), Nicolin Pierce (Erie, PA/McDowell), Aidan Reinsel (North East, PA/North East), and Christopher Annear (Fredonia, NY/Fredonia)
* The alternate runners this weekend are Peyton Brewer (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) and Emil George (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick)
* All nine of these runners took the top 12 spots at the AMCC Championships two weeks ago to help the team win its 15th overall championship and fourth straight conference title
* Klein led Behrend at last year's regional race with a time of 26:39.2 for first on the team and 36th overall, missing All-Region honors by one place finish
* Domencic and Kerr finished in the middle of the past for the Lions last season, placing 85th (28:00.1) and 91st (28:31.9), respectively
* As a team, Behrend recorded a 14th place finish out of 24 teams with a total score of 374 at last season's NCAA Regionals
