ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend women's water polo player Devon Van Rensburg (Johannesburg, South Africa/Crawford) has been named as the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Rookie of the Week, announced on Friday.

Rensburg scored goals in all three games this past weekend, including a six-goal performance against Grove City. She buried four of her six goals in the first half, helping the Lions maintain a comfortable lead throughout the entire game. Rensburg continued on the weekend to add a goal on both Saturday and Sunday, while also making three steals and dishing out two assists.

Senior Lauren Wood (Vernon Hills, IL/Vernon Hills) and goalie Holly Rae Hanson (Rancho Cucamonga, CA/ Rancho Cucamonga) each earned a spot on the honor roll. Wood was mentioned for Player of the Week, while Hanson was talked about for Defensive Player of the Week.
