Sada, Myers Chosen to ABCA/Rawlings All-Mideast Region Team

ERIE, Pa. – Sophomores Scott Sada (Saegertown, PA/Saegertown) and Phil Myers (DuBois, PA/DuBois Central Catholic) have been named to the 2017 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Mideast Region Team.

Sada and Myers were chosen to the second team for the positions second base and pitcher, respectively. Six other players from the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) were selected to the All-Region team.

Sada is now a two-time All-Region selection this season. He was just recognized on the D3baseball.com All-Region second team earlier this week. Sada, a first-team All-AMCC selection, led the Lions in nearly every offensive category. He was first in batting average .390, slugging percentage (.686), hits (62), RBIs (48), runs (46), doubles (20), home runs (7), and triples (3). His 20 doubles this season puts him tied for sixth in NCAA Division III statistics. He also stole 19 bases and 18 multiple-hit games..

Myers, also an AMCC first-team choice, is earning his first All-Region accolades. The left-handed hurler made 12 appearances on the mound this season and finished with a team-leading six wins. He tallied a 3.05 ERA, giving up 22 earned runs in 65 innings of work. Myer threw four complete games and fanned 50 batters.
