Three Men's Basketball Players Earn AMCC All-Conference Nod

ERIE, Pa. – Three Penn State Behrend men's basketball players were named to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) All-Conference teams.

Andy Niland (Fairview, PA/Fairview) was a First-Team selection for the first time in his young career. Malquan Pullium (Erie, PA/Strong Vincent) and Dan Wanker (Pittsburgh, PA/South Park) both made All-Conference for the first time in their careers. Pullium earn Second-Team honors while Wanker was selected to the Third Team.

After being named Newcomer of the Year just a year ago, Niland continues to shine as he runs the Lions offense. The sophomore point guard leads the team with 13.0 points per game, scoring in the double-digits on 14 separate occasions. He also holds a conference-leading and is 11th in the nation in free-throw percentage, shooting 91.0 percent from the charity stripe. He has dished out 4.3 assist per game, placing him second in the AMCC and first on the team.

Pullium has put together a stellar senior season for Behrend. He sits just behind Niland in points per game with 12.8 and is shooting 48.5 percent from the floor. He is pulling down 5.7 rebounds per game including a team-leading 51 offensive boards. Pullium is also a big assets to the Lions on the defensive side of the ball. He has helped Behrend hold opponents to just 64.7 points per game which ranks them first in the conference and 17th in the nation.

Wanker has put together a breakout sophomore season. He has been the Lions top rebounder all year, averaging 6.2 boards per game. Wanker holds a team-leading 52.5 percent field goal percentage while scoring 11.9 points per game including a team-leading 12.6 points per game in conference action.
