Klimchock Chosen to NABC/Under Armour 30-Under-30

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's basketball assistant coach Chris Klimchock was selected as a 2016-17 Under Armour 30-Under-30 honoree, presented by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

The list recognizes up and coming young coaches, both head and assistant coaches, under the age of 30 across all levels in college basketball.

Klimchock just completed his first season at Penn State Behrend, joining head coach Dave Niland's staff in August. He is the only coach to be named from the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC).

A 2014 graduate of Saint Vincent College, Klimchock was two-year starter, captain and First Team All-PAC for the Bearcats. He spent the first two years of his college career at Edinboro, where he was a three-time PSAC Freshman of the Week and two-year letterwinner. He graduated from St. Vincent with a bachelor of science in psychology and went on to earn a master of science in organizational and professional communication from Regis College in May 2016.

In addition to his playing experience, Klimchock spent one season as a student assistant coach at St. Vincent and was an assistant coach for two years at Regis. He also worked a variety of basketball camps and was a member of the Hoop Group Elite staff at Albright College.
