The Penn State Behrend men's and women's track and field teams took part in their second indoor meet of the season on Saturday, February 6 at the Mount Union Invitational.  No team scores were recorded but the blue and white saw a number of athletes stand out.

Jenna Fatica (Erie/Villa Maria) had a huge day including taking first place in the 500 meter dash.  The junior ran a time of 1:20.61 which was good for a school, meet, and facility record.  Fatica also ran as a part of two relay teams, including the distance medley team effort which clocked in with a school, meet, and facility record.  Mandy Wehrle (Rossiter/Punxsutawney), Liz Keller (Bradford/Bradford), and Meghan Kronenwetter (St. Marys/Elk County Catholic) joined Fatica to run a time of 13:28.84.

Other standouts on the women's side included Sara Byers (Ehon Valley/Mohawk) who finished seventh in the high jump, Katie Monoskey (Punxsutawney/Punxsutawney) who finished ninth in the shot put, and Kaitlynn Patterson (Erie/Villa Maria) who finished ninth in the 3000 meter run.

Behrend's Ronson Mazany (Ashville, NY/Panama Central) came through for the men with a long jump mark of 22' 11" which was good for a school record.  His jump was the tenth best in nation in Division III this season and a NCAA provisional qualifying mark.  Mazany also grabbed fourth place in the high jump and sixth place in the triple jump at the invite.

Also shining at Mount Union were Eston Winn (Erie/McDowell) who finished fourth in the pole vault, Earl Bass (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) who was sixth in the 55 meter hurdles, and Calvin Schmader (Cooperstown/Oil City) who finished ninth in the shot put.  In addition the men's distance medley team of Shane Cyphert (North East/North East), Carl Kallgren (Erie/McDowell), Justin DiPenti (Warren/Warren), and Steven Monnie (Butler/Butler) took first place with a time of 11:06.91, good for a meet and facility record.
