Erie, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women’s track & field team is one out of 106 Division III programs to be named a 2010 All-Academic Track & Field team by the U.S Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
To earn this honor, a team must carry a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.1. The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) had one other team represented (Frostburg). The Lions boasted a 3.19 GPA for the 2009-10 academic year.
During outdoor, Behrend placed second out of eight teams at the Westminster Invitational for its best finish of the regular season before coming in fourth at the Mason-Dixon Championships and fielding 19 all-conference performers.
