Penn State Behrend Stays on Top of AMCC with Win Over Franciscan

After a 0-3 loss to Fredonia State the Behrend women's volleyball team has been on a tear in AMCC play beating the next two AMCC opponents 3-0 each.  The Behrend Lions entered the AMCC match up with the Franciscan Barons at 3-0 in AMCC play.

The Behrend Lions took the first three games to win the match.  This moves the blue and white to 14-6 overall and 4-0 in AMCC play.  The Behrend Lions took care of the Barons 25-7, 25-13, and 25-11.

Lauren Dalton (Cochranton/Cochranton) led the offense with nine kills.  Danielle Kindle (Erie/McDowell) was a force at the net with six kills and six blocks.  Brooke Gallentine (Mt. Pleasant/Southmoreland) ran the offense with 26 assists and two aces.

Aubry Regan (Edinboro/General McLane) and Danielle Woods (Pittsburgh/Baldwin) both contributed four kills to help Behrend earn the sweep. 

Penn State Behrend will next travel to the McDaniel Tournament on October 11th and 12th.  Behrend will be back in the Junker Center on October 18th as they take on conference rival Frostburg State starting at 1:00 p.m.
