ERIE, Pa. -- The Penn State Behrend women's cross country team is ranked ninth in the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Mideast region poll. The Lions are the only AMCC squad to place in the top ten.
This is the highest ranking for Behrend since 2003 when they finished the season ranked sixth.
The Lions, who were ranked 10th in the preseason poll, are coming off a solid third place finish at the Behrend Invitational, where they finished with three Top 20 runners.
