Women's Track and Field Compete in Toy Drive Invite

ALLIANCE, Oh - The Penn State Behrend women's track and field team competed in the Toy Drive Invitational Saturday afternoon hosted by Mount Union.

Haley Yenchik (Cecil, PA/Canon McMillan) qualified for ECACs in pole vault as she finished first with a height of 3.41m (11'2").

Paige Allen (Butler, PA/Butler) finished second in the 60m and 200m dash with times of 6.95 and 26.63, respectively. Behrend's 800m, 1600m, and 3200m "A" team finished second in both relays. The "B" team finished third in the 1600m race.

Rachel Ramsey (North Versailles, PA/East Allegheny) and Erica Koenig (Pittsburgh, PA/Baldwin) finished first and second in the 3000m race with times of 11:33.93 and 12:59.46, respectively.

Caitlin Plazony (Fairview, PA/Fairview) and Katelyn Hancock (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) finished first and second in the one mile run, posting times of 5:52.17 and 5:54.62.

Mikaela Tranter (Pittsburgh, PA/South Park) had a fourth-place finish in the 800m run with a time of 2:51.32.

The Lions will be back in action when they compete at SPIRE on January 21, 2017 beginning at 10 a.m.
