ERIE, Pa. - Junior Rachel Ramsey (North Versailles, PA/East Allegheny) was named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Runner of the Week and Behrend Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 1.

Ramsey led the Penn State Behrend women's cross country team to an AMCC Championship on their home course Saturday morning. She was crowned the individual champion with a time of 23:47.6 in the 6K.

Ramsey never trailed in the championship meet, darting off the starting line and never looking back. Her time was 30 seconds faster than the second-place finisher. The Lions rallied behind Ramsey's lead to capture their sixth AMCC title with a score of 31.
