NEW YORK, NY – The Penn State Behrend men's and women's track and field program brought home two new records in the final day of the 2011 ECAC Championships at the Armory Track and Field Center, Saturday.

The women took fourth place after setting a new program record of 9:36.71 in the 4x800m relay. Catie Bertges, Katie Spade, Liz Keller and Jenna Fatcia chipped seven seconds off of a two-year old Lions record (9:43.43).

Fatica later returned to set another team best in the women's 800m run. The senior long-distance runner beat her old record of 2:18.74 (2/12/2011) by crossing the line at 2:17:32, while finishing 7th.

The lone Behrend male to perform was Ronson Mazany.  The long jumper placed 9th in a field of 20 by soaring through the air an amazing 22' 0.25".

The men's and women's indoor track and field teams will head to Coastal Caroline on March 11.
