ERIE, Pa. – Mike Stark, a 2011 graduate of Penn State Behrend and member of the track & field team, has been named to the U.S Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III All-Academic team. A total of 200 student-athletes representing 72 institutions compose the group.

Stark was the track & field indoor and outdoor Most Valuable Player in 2010-11 season. He finished the year nationally ranked in the Top 30 in the pole vault and in the 110m hurdles. Stark graduated from Behrend with two indoor records and one outdoor record for the Lions.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 and have met an NCAA automatic or provisional qualifying mark in an individual or relay event at some point in either indoor or outdoor seasons. Participation in an NCAA Championship also fulfills the athletic component of All-Academic qualification.
