Oldach Named AMCC & ECAC Player of the Week

ERIE, Pa. – Senior guard Amy Oldach has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. It is the second time she has earned the honor this season.

Oldach had a career week in two crucial AMCC wins for the Lions (12-4, 8-2 AMCC). In a 75-61 upset against No. 19 Medaille, she scored 15 points and dished out a career-high 11 assists. Oldach then dropped a career-best 35 points over Penn State Altoona. Her five three-pointers also matched a career high.  For the week she almost averaged a triple-double with 25.0 points, 8.5 assists and 8.0 rebounds.

Oldach is 74 points away from breaking the 1,000-point plateau and needs two more assists to move into third on the all-time chart, while needing 36 steals to become the all-time program leader.

Behrend returns to action on Wednesday against Hilbert, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Junker Center. The game will also be televised on Image Sports Network.
