UTICA, NY. – The Penn State Behrend women's water polo team opens the season this weekend at the CWPA Regional Tournament 1 at Utica.

* The Lions will be making their season debut this weekend at Utica
* Last year, the team finished with a 1-7 record before the season was cut short
* The team has eight returning players along with four newcomers
* Shannon Young (Roseville, CA/Roseville) was named to the 2020 ACWPC Division III All-America Team
* Behrend went 2-0 against Utica during the 2019 season
* Head coach Joe Tristan begins his 18th year at the helm of the women's water polo program
