Nine Women's Water Polo Players Named ACWPC Academic All-American

ERIE, Pa. – Nine Penn State Behrend women's water polo student-athletes have been recognized by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) and named to the 2021 Academic All-American team.

Angela Laier (Lansing, MI/Holt), Oliva Wright (Fairview, PA/Fairview), Shannon Young (Roseville, CA/Roseville), Hope Nuzback (Erie, PA/McDowell), Daniella Rios (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico/Sagrados Corazones), Kayla Scarpaci (Cypress, TX/Langham Creek), Sarah Mancebo (Tulare, CA/Mission Oak), Brooklynn Moncy (Sunnyvale, CA/Homestead), and Chloe Dodgen (Riverside, CA/Hillcrest) were named to the All-Academic Team for achieving a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher and competing during the season.

Laier, a senior led the team with a 4.0 GPA followed by Wright with a 3.95. As a team, the Lions boasted a 3.43 overall GPA.
