Lions Finish Eighth at Edward Jones Shootout

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - After two rounds at the Edward Jones Shootout, the Penn State Behrend men's golf team finished eighth out of nine teams with a final score of 670. The Lions took two strokes off their day-one score to card 334 on Sunday.

Three out of five Behrend golfers improved on their scores from yesterday. Zack Polanski remained in the top spot on the squad and tied for 22nd overall with a 155, improving three strokes for a 76 on the day.

Kyle Meehl finished tied for 37th place. He shot an 83 for 18 holes for a 165 total for the weekend. Alec Italiano was third on the team and tied for 45th, carding an 88 today for a two-round total of 175.

Placing 47th, Dean Rainsville shot an 87 to improve from round one for a score of 176, while Marc Neiswonger finished with a 179 score for 49th overall.

The Lions return to action on Sunday at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational.
