Koerbel Claims Medalist Honors; Lions Take Second at Pitt-Bradford

BRADFORD, Pa. – Kevin Koerbel claimed medalist honors, shooting a team-low 76, and the Penn State Behrend men’s golf white team finish second with a score of 332 at the Pitt-Bradford Invitational held on Saturday afternoon.

The blue team, featuring Koerbel, was two strokes behind the white team and came in third place with a team total of 334. Dean Rainville also finished in the Top 5 for the Lions, taking fourth place with a score of 78. Daeman won the invitational with a score of 311.

For the white team, Marc Neiswonger fired an 82 to place second on the team and eighth overall. Alec Italiano and Dan L’Herbier each carded an 86, while Anthony Mangano rounded out the five with a score of 88.

Koerbel headlined the blue team and Zach Polanski was seven strokes ahead with an 83 for ninth in the overall individual standings. Kyle Meehl was third on this squad with an 85 and Byron Doll was fourth with a 90. The final mark went to Michael Sabolcik. The senior carded a 93 on the afternoon.

The Lions return to action on Sept. 14 at the D’Youville. Tee time is TBA.
