Behrend Finishes Third at Penn State Altoona Invitational

ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's golf team finished third out of 11 teams at the Penn State Altoona Invitational on Saturday.

Scott Klein (Fairview, PA/Fairview) was the top Division III player with a low score of 76, only getting beaten out by two St. Francis (Division I) golfers, who carded a 72 and 74. The Lions gathered at team total of 328 to come in first in Division III and third overall. St. Francis won the invitational with a 303 followed by another St. Francis team in second with a 316.

Dante Vetica (Hermitage, PA/Kennedy Catholic) fired an 81 for the course to finish second on the squad and Zack Polanski (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) was third with an 84.

Sophomore Dakota Tabar (Conneaut Lake, PA/Conneaut Lake) tallied an 87 for 18 holes, while Dan L'Herbier (Gibsonia, PA/Deer Lakes) registered a 91 to complete the Behrend five golfers.

The Lions host their own invitational on Thursday. Course and tee time yet to be determined.
