Men's Golf Captures Bradford Invitational; VanDamia Earns Individual Medalist Honors

BRADFORD, Pa. – Nick VanDamia was the individual winner in a field of 62 golfers with a low score of 73 to lead the Penn State Behrend men's golf team at the Pitt-Bradford Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Pine Acres Country Club.

VanDamia and Dante Vetica finished first and second, respectively, helping the Lions capture the invitational on their first day of competition this fall. Behrend won with a score of 303, followed by Thiel in second with 307 and Elmira in third (313).

Vetica tied for second with an overall score of 75, while Scott Klein made his way into the Top 10 with a 76 on the day for seventh. Freshman Brian Ropiecki tied for 13th with a 79 and Dan Corbin rounded out the lineup for the Lions with an 83, finishing 11 over par.

Behrend returns to action on Friday at the Hilbert Invitational, beginning at 1 p.m.
