TYRONE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend men's golf team had three golfers in the Top 10 to win the Penn State Altoona Invitational on Monday afternoon with a team score of 312.

Dante Vetica was the individual winner out of 55 golfers with a low score of 74. it is the second time this fall Vetica has been named the medalist of a tournament. Grove City and Allegheny of Maryland tied for second with a 317 total.

Nicholas VanDamia tied for third overall and was second on the team with a 77, while Scott Klein had one more stroke than VanDamia for a 78 to tie for eighth.

Newcomers Roman Klaric and Brian Ropiecki were fourth and fifth on the team, respectively. Klaric carded an 83 to tie for 23rd overall and Ropiecki tallied an 84 to tie for 28th.

The Lions are back in action on September 21 at the Medaille Invitational.
