ERIE, Pa. - Mitchell Obenrader (Fryburg, PA/North Clarion) was named Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Men's Field Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday.

Obenrader posted the second furthest throw in NCAA DIII this weekend with a 17.38 meter (57' 0.25") toss, good enough for fourth place. The senior was in a field among some of the nation's best, including 2016 world leader, Kurt Roberts. Obenrader was the only DIII competitor in the invite shot put. He then threw the discus 48.11m (57' 10") for the No. 20 throw in DIII. He finished the day by placing third in the open discus throw competition.
