Men's Outoor Track & Field in Fourth Place at ECAC Championships

WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Penn State Behrend men's outdoor track & field team is in fourth place out of 24 teams after day one of the 2017 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships held at Westfield State University on Wednesday.

The Lions have 22 points collected over eight scored events with one day left of competition. Luke Patten (West Middlesex, PA/West Middlesex) repeats as pole vault champion with a personal-best height of 5.01m (16'5.25). He also ran a leg on the sixth place 4x400m relay along with Greg Graf (South Park, PA/South Park), Grant Rodgers (Oil City, PA/Oil City) and Devin Ross (Shenango, PA/Shenango). All four earned All-ECAC honor for posting a time of 3:22.45.

Elijah Dangrow (Greenville, PA/Greensville) was an All-ECAC choice for finishing fourth in the pole vault, behind Patten with a height of 4.30m (14-01.25). Tony Antonucci (Wexford, PA/North Allegheny) came in fifth overall in the hammer throw with a toss of 43.63m (143-02) for All-ECAC honors.

Kurt Eberhardt (Gibsonia, PA/Hampton) participated in the 100m time trials and advanced to the finals with a time of 10.77.

The championships continue tomorrow with the field events beginning at 11 a.m.
