Seniors Help Behrend Women's Volleyball Sweep Carlow

ERIE, Pa. – Hannah Phillips (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) hit a season-high .607 attack percentage behind 18 kills to help the Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team sweep Carlow 3-0 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Saturday.  

Final Score: Penn State Behrend 3, Carlow 0 (25-12, 25-7, 25-19)
Records: Penn State Behrend (15-5, 4-1 AMCC), Carlow (8-13, 0-5 AMCC)

Key Moments:

* The Lions are now 2-0 all-time against Carlow
* Behrend held the Celtics to 12 total kills, the fewest kills by an opponent this season
* As a team, the Lions hit .375 in their sixth shut-out victory
* Sara Novak (Lower Burrell, PA/Burrell) finished with nine kills, knocking down six in the first set to help Behrend earn a 25-12 win
* Meg Goodsel (Corry, PA/Corry) dished out 10 assists in the first set and registered 32 for the entire match
* In the second set, Maura Benim (Harborcreek, PA/Harbor Creek) served 13 straight points including two aces (7-12) and Phillips posted 10 kills for a 2-0 lead
* Sara Nobach (Athens, MI/Athens) helped the Lions defensively with nine digs to complete the sweep on Carlow

* Phillips added nine digs and Goodsel tallied eight digs in the win
