WAYNE, NJ – The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team will travel to William Patterson University to take on Allegheny in the semifinals of the 2023 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships on Saturday. Game time is 1 p.m.
The Lions are making their ninth appearance and second straight in the ECAC Championship Tournament. Behrend enters with a 21-6 overall record, falling in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) semifinals last weekend. Behrend won the ECAC South Region Championship in 2008. The Lions and Allegheny met during the regular season. The Gators posted a 3-0 victory at home on September 13.
The Gators are 22-9 overall and defeated Grove City in the PAC Tournament 3-1 before falling to Bethany 3-0 in the semifinals.
The hosts, William Patterson, will battle FDU-Florham in the other semifinal at 11 a.m. The two winners will battle for the ECAC Championship on Saturday at 3 p.m.
